In an effort to cut costs and increase production of traditional Native American beaded jewelry, the High Council of Native American Tribesmen has decided to call upon India to help take up the slack. Best known for augmenting many technology companies IT needs, India thought it would accept the challenge of manufacturing "the other kind of Indian" products. Navajo Nation CEO, Chief Yellowhorse Roadsign, said in an interview this past week, "It only makes sense to out source our traditional bead making. We are so busy with casinos these days that we have neglected to keep up with the increased demand of our own beaded jewelry." Chief Yellowhorse has been in talks with IOC Technology of Hyderabad India, a firm traditionally known for Microsoft ASP.Net web programming for the past month. IOC spokesman Vidya Schaefermiller said "We welcome this opportunity to shift gears from technology and help our Indian friends with bead making. I'm actually questioning the quality of my technical people anyways..."
Both Roadsign and Schaefermiller agree that this is a win-win situation for "Both Indians." When asked if he felt guilty for shipping jobs overseas or disrupting traditional Native American art, Roadsign said, "Not in the least...besides, the white man can't tell the difference between Indians, Arabs, Hispanics or Native Americans!"
